Adulting 101: There never was a time more important than now to think out of the box about creating and maintaining financial wellbeing. However, this requires practical application of tried-and-true principals. No one is too young or too old to learn survival skills to succeed financially. Adulting 101 is for those of you who want to be out of the unknown anxiety of money, money, money.
Do you want to know how to get, keep and maintain the income that will allow you to have the lifestyle you choose?
This course will explore the elements that predict financial security and optimal growth.
There will be two sections:
Young People who have never taken financial control and learned the steps to success.
People of every age who are starting over, creating new business ventures and reinventing their financial lives.
Both workshops will explore these topics:
Create Personal Budget: Budget is a dirty word if you have don’t know how to stick with it. From our experience motivation is based on enjoyment. Let’s find out how to enjoy creating and living your overall financial vision.
Improve Credit Potential: Your credit score doesn’t just appear by magic. You have to create it, develop and protect it over your life to maintain financial freedom.
Manage Debt: Did you know that debt can work against you or for you? Managing debt is actually a key to your financial expertise. It is your enemy if you ignore it, freak out or refuse to let it work for you. If understood and well managed, debt is a way to open doors to the adult world of money.
This course will be co-led by Rofa "Apple" Abayon and Sara Rubin. Apple spent twelve years in the financial and banking industry. She is now focused on helping people become more disciplined and conscious about their financial realities and possibilities. Sara Rubin has been helping people for over forty years launching businesses and coaching people through major transition phases in their lives.
All of us need to understand our finances in order to be independent, secure and prosperous. Bring any questions you have about money, the lack of it or what the heck to do with it when you’ve got it.
